Clinical Ladder Committee Purpose
In collaboration with the UCSF Office of Advanced Practice Providers, the APP Clinical Ladder Committee promotes APP leadership participation. Committee responsibilities are guided by the Office of Advanced Practice Providers and include defining and redefining qualified leadership activities, reviewing applications, conducting interviews, and guiding APPs pursuing advancement on established career ladders. Currently, this includes promotion from Nurse Practitioner II to Nurse Practitioner III (NPII to NPIII) and renewal of NPIII status.

Goals of the Committee
- Encourage and support APPs in developing leadership skills/goals.
- Showcase the leadership and impact of APPs at UCSF.
- Cultivate and showcase the promotional process.
- Mentor applicants and re-applicants during the application process.
- Review/update initial and renewal promotion processes and materials.
- Align with other UC APP Promotion processes whenever possible.
Meetings
