Ivette Becerra-Ortiz, DNP, MPH, NP, RN, NEA-BC, CPNP-PC is the Chief of Advanced Practice Providers (APP) at UCSF Health since 2020, Assistant Clinical Professor at the UCSF School of Nursing (SON) Department of Family Health Care Nursing since 2021, and Associate Dean of Clinical Affairs at the UCSF SON since 2024. The UCSF Health Office of APPs includes approximately 820 APPs, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists, and Certified Nurse Midwives. Dr. Becerra-Ortiz provides leadership for the health system and APPs in patient care, research, education, revenue cycle, finance, professionalism, and regulatory compliance.
Dr. Becerra-Ortiz earned her Doctorate in Nursing Practice and is board-certified as both a pediatric primary care nurse practitioner and nurse executive. As the Associate Dean of Clinical Affairs, Dr. Becerra-Ortiz leads efforts to align the UCSF SON and UCSF Health in designing and monitoring faculty practice.
Dr. Becerra-Ortiz has more than 20 years of clinical experience and more than 15 years’ experience in health care administration, with a focus on quality and safety, patient service, finance, collaboration, and operational excellence.

Alisa Yee
Alisa Yee, MSN, ACNP-BC is the Director of Operations, Adult Services of UCSF Advanced Practice Providers at UCSF Health, an internationally recognized health system that includes UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals, Langley Porter Psychiatric Hospital and Clinics, UCSF Benioff Children's Physicians, and the UCSF Faculty Practice. UCSF Advanced Practice Providers include approximately 820 Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Certified Nurse Midwives, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists.
Yee provides leadership for the health system to ensure alignment among all Advanced Practice providers in the adult patient care areas. She is a strategic partner in optimization of the utilization of Advanced Practice Provider clinical work and oversees the strategic implementation of new programs, policies and quality and safety practices.
Yee has been with the University of California for more than two decades. She is board certified as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and remains clinically active within the Department of Surgery, Division of GastroIntestinal Surgery Oncology.
She holds a bachelor's degree in genetics from University of California, Davis, and a master’s in nursing degree from the University of California, San Francisco School of Nursing.
Roseanne Krauter, MSN, RN, FNP-BC, CORLN is the Director of Informatics and Clinical Systems in the Office of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) of UCSF Health. She is responsible for aligning departments across the Health System as it relates to APP utilization. She oversees optimization of APP services capture, improving APP work experience, and implementation of APP informatics.
Roseanne is also a practicing NP otolaryngologist, specializing in otology and caring for patients with vertigo disorders. She is passionate about improving the quality of life for those with vertigo disorders through accurate diagnosis, highly tailored treatment plans, and extensive patient counseling. Her research includes the epidemiology, diagnosis, and treatment of vestibular migraine. She also holds an appointment in the University of California, San Francisco School of Nursing as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Family Health Care Nursing.
Before joining the Office of Advanced Practice Providers, she began her practice in Otology in 2010 at the Stanford Ear Institute and later joined the UCSF Health Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Department in 2015. Roseanne holds a Bachelor of Science in microbiology from the University of California Santa Barbara and a Master of Science from Columbia University School of Nursing.

Tara Valcarcel
Tara Valcarcel, MSN, RN, CPNP-PC, NEA-BC is the Director of Operations for Pediatric Services in the Office of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) at UCSF Health. In this role, she leads efforts to align APPs across UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals (BCH) with the hospital's strategic priorities. Tara plays a key role in optimizing the clinical work of APPs and oversees the implementation of new policies, as well as quality and safety practices.
Since 2010, Tara has been a practicing Nurse Practitioner in pediatric rheumatology, providing care for children and teens with rheumatic diseases. Her patient care approach is holistic and trauma-informed, emphasizing empowerment through education and shared decision-making.
Tara holds an appointment as Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Family Health Care Nursing at the University of California, San Francisco School of Nursing. She is also a volunteer faculty member with the Program for Interprofessional Practice and Education (PIPE).
Tara earned her Bachelor of Art in Art History from Williams College in Massachusetts and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of California, San Francisco School of Nursing.
Brandon Sessler, MMS, PA-C, is the Director of Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Professional Practice at UCSF Health. He is also the Program Director for the UCSF Medical Center APP fellowship programs.
As the Director of Professional Practice, Brandon provides strategic leadership and oversight for the credentialing, privileging, onboarding, competency assessment, evidence-based practice, and performance appraisal of UCSF Health APPs. As the Program Director of the UCSF APP fellowships, he oversees the program design, operations and accreditation.
Brandon practices clinically as a senior physician assistant in the UCSF Spine Center. He cares for patients with surgical and non-surgical conditions of the spine and is passionate about patient education and shared decision making. In 2019, Brandon was awarded the UCSF Health Exceptional APP award for continuous demonstration of UCSF’s PRIDE values: Professionalism, Respect, Integrity, Diversity, and Excellence.
Outside of UCSF, Brandon serves as a Commissioner for the ANCC Commission on Accreditation in Practice Transition Programs. He is a member of the American Academy of Physician Associates and California Academy of Physician Associates. He holds a Master of Science in physician assistant studies from Midwestern University and a Bachelor of Science in biology from Valparaiso University.

Kurstan del Rosario is the Senior Operations Analyst in the Office of Advanced Practice
Providers at UCSF Health. Kurstan joined the team in August of 2021 after spending most of her UCSF career in various administrative and leadership roles throughout Cancer Services.
Christian Sendaydiego is the Administrative Assistant to the Directors in the Office of Advanced Practice Providers at UCSF. Christian joined the team in February 2024, after holding administrative roles in various industries including home health, a church, senior living, and scientific publishing.
Outside of UCSF, Christian is a singer/songwriter, performing live music at local bars, coffee shops, wineries, and other events. He is dedicated Golden State Warriors fan, and enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, and pet corgi, Curry.
